Matt is the Founder and Director of Achieve More Training Ltd, where he combines his passion for coaching, education and leadership to help others reach their full potential.

With a UEFA B Licence, a PGCE (Post-16) and a BSc (Hons) in Science and Football, Matt brings both academic expertise and real-world coaching experience to his role. His journey began in the early 2000s coaching across Europe, America and Australia, laying the foundations for what has become a career dedicated to developing people and raising standards in Sport, Leisure and Education.

Matt spent over 10 years working in Sport Development and Local Authority roles with Denbighshire County Council, Sport Wales and StreetGames. Winning accolades such as Leader of the Year in 2015 and attending the House of Lords in 2014 to receive the Sport Leader Centre of the Year Award.

Progressing into Coach Education, he has worked with the FAW, The FA, WRU, Hockey Wales and Disability Sport Wales, and designed the national coach education programme for British Dodgeball.

Since 2017, Matt has turned his focus to work-based learning. He works strategically with organisations including SkillsActive, CIMSPA, Awarding Organisations and QIW to make sure qualifications in the Active Leisure sector are relevant, purposeful and aligned to industry needs. As a member of the Regional Skills Partnership and the CIMSPA Local Skills Board in North Wales, he contributes regularly to expert groups shaping national occupational standards and qualification frameworks.

Highlights include helping to develop and support designation of the Level 3 PE and School Sport NVQ and the Level 4 HLTA qualification in Wales. Currently, he is working alongside Public Health Wales and key stakeholders to create new qualifications, including Level 4 Leading Health and Wellbeing, Level 3 Developing Health and Wellbeing and Level 4 Exercise Referral, supporting development in key roles across education, leisure and health.

Driven by a belief that great coaching and education can change lives, Matt continues to lead innovative training solutions that inspire growth, improve standards and build confident, capable practitioners.
